Meriweather Scott Referral

Specific Situation Reported: Reporter states EMS was called out to client’s home this morning as her blood sugar was 350. Client refuses to go to the emergency room for medical treatment. She lives with her mother, Jana Scott. Mrs. Scott reportedly told EMS that client has schizophrenia but she usually takes her medication and functions pretty well. She said client has been acting strange the past two weeks. Client will not come out of the house at all, and she is talking about the IRS coming to get her. Her mother does not know what to do. She cannot leave the house to shop and pay bills because client thinks the IRS will find her and follow her back home. There is no food in the house and the bills are not being paid. Client refuses to take her medication, and she will not go to the doctor.
